Marina Y. Taylor, 69, of Sardinia, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011 at Highland District Hospital.
She was born in Mexico on June 24, 1942, the daughter of the late Juan and Marina (Rodriquez) Vargas.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Chris Young; and two brothers, Juan and Pedrito Vargas.
She is survived by her husband, William "Bill" Taylor of Sardinia; one son and daughter-in-law, Erick and Trish Young of Redondo Beach, Calif.; one daughter, Jane Young of Westchester; four sisters, Josie Handel of Palmdale, Calif., Dr. Betty Phillips of Dixon, Calif., March Phillips of Los Altos, Calif., and Patsy Phillips of Mexico; and one grandson, Ethan Young.
Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 7 at Thompson Funeral Home, with Robert D. Hottle officiating.
Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
