Marilyn Ann Milner Geese, 83, of Leesburg, passed away Saturday, March 23, 2013 at her home.

She was born June 16, 1929, in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Harry A. and Winifred Needham (Hyer) Milner.

She was a member of the Leesburg Friends Church, the United Society of Friends Women, the Leesburg Wednesday Club, Hillsboro Women’s Club, the Red Hat Society, The Order of the the Eastern Star Elizabeth Chapter #56, the Highland County Republican Club, the Highland County Historical Society and the Century Club.

She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Daniel A. and Joann Geese, Sr. of Leesburg; three grandchildren, Daniel A. (Betty) Geese, Jason C. Geese and Juanita (Tommy) Cole; nine great- grandchildren; and a cousin, Marlayne Milner-Ribback of New Mexico.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Clarence Daniel “Dan” Geese, on Sept. 21, 2012, and her step-mother, Thelma Milner.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, March 28 at the Leesburg Friends Church, 149 South Street, Leesburg.

The Rev. John Fitzgerald will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hardin’s Creek Cemetery at Bridges. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 at the church in Leesburg.

Memorials may be made to the Fairfield Meeting House Restoration Fund, P.O. Box 393, Leesburg, Ohio 45135.

The Turner Funeral Home in Leesburg is serving the family.
