Marilyn K. Huddleston

Marilyn K. Huddleston, 63, of Lynchburg, passed away Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at her residence.
She was born in Highland County on Sept. 21, 1950, the daughter of the late Luther Roscoe Dillon, Sr. and Frances Marie (Pauley) Dillon.
Besides her parents, she was also preceded by three brothers, David Dillon, John Dillon and Junior Dillon; a sister, Carolyn Miller; and a grandson, Thomas Douglas Campbell III.
Marilyn was a member of the Samantha Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Carmon T. Huddleston, whom she married on Jan. 8, 1966; a son, Carmon T. (Christine) Huddleston Jr. of Lynchburg; daughters Laura (Kevin) Kern of Lynchburg, Donna (Wayne) Swisher of Lynchburg and Tonia (Richard) Lucas of Lynchburg; a brother, Carl Francis Dillon of Hillsboro; sisters, Ruth Cox of Hillsboro, Kathleen Helterbrand of Hillsboro, Wanda Robinson of Hillsboro, Jane Champagne of Arizona and Delores Varley of Martinsville; 10 grandchildren, Krishna Kern, Brandon Kern, Krystal Blair, Kayla Lucas, Taylor Lucas, Shelby Lucas, Angel Campbell, Shane Bennett, Josh Holloway and Anecia Holland; one great-granddaughter, Addie Bennett; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, July 19 at the Thompson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Barnes Cemetery.
