Marilee Schatzmann, 72, of Lynchburg, passed away early Thursday morning, Sept. 13, 2012 at the Wilmington Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 5, 1939, in Lynchburg, the daughter of the late Fred and Inez (Taylor) Pfister.
She was an extremely dedicated and loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Fred J. IV and Tameika A. Schatzmann of Lynchburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa J. Schatzmann and Darryl Daffron of Anderson; four grandchildren, Hailey S. Schatzmann of Sugarland, Texas and Marchella "Nicole" Tarr, Richard W. Tarr and Katelyn R. Tarr, all of Lynchburg; two sisters, Joan (Richard) Fawley and Karen (William) Dotson and a brother, Jerry (Nancy) Pfister, all of Lynchburg; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Fred J. Schatzmann III, on Sept. 14, 2011.
Funeral services will be 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rick Godlove will officiate. Friends may call from 3 p.m. until the time of the service at 5 p.m. at the funeral home on Saturday.
