Mariel Jeanette Younker, 73, of Lynchburg, died Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington. 

She was born May 22, 1939 in Xenia, the daughter of Clarence and Ruth Perkins Toner.

She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by many.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Virgil Younker; mother, Ruth Toner of New Carlisle; children, Tina (Bo) Owens of Lynchburg, Angie (Willy) Klontz of Lynchburg, Virgil (Vicki) Younker, Jr. of Xenia, Terry (Tina) Younker of Martinsville and Aaron Younker of Lynchburg; grandchildren, Brandy Younker, Jenny Younker, Brian Mountjoy, Corey Mountjoy, Kyle Younker, Aaron Younker, Jr., Terry Younker, Jr., Cody Younker, Bobby McKinney, Macaela McKinney, Brittany (Jesse) Butler, Chaz (Andrea) McKinney, Chelsea Noland, Randy Noland and Ryan Noland; several great-grandchildren; siblings, Dennis Toner of New Carlisle, Terry (Phyllis) Toner of Xenia and Dallas Toner of Florida; and sister-in-law Carolyn Toner of Roanoke, Virginia.

She is preceded in death by her father Clarence Toner; daughter Kathy Mountjoy; two infant children, Patricia Younker and Vernon Clarence Younker; grandchildren, Christina Noble, Kaitlyn Noland, Kayla Noland and David Michael Noland; and brother Merle Toner. 

A memorial service will be held 4:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21 at the family home in Lynchburg. The Davis-Turner Funeral Home, Lynchburg, is serving the family.
