Margaret R. 'Peg' Roark
Margaret R. "Peg" Roark, 89, of Trenton, and formerly of Greenfield, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2011 at Riverside Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Dayton.
She was born May 7, 1921 in Texas, to the late John C and Edith Grace (Obee) Williams.
Roark married Perry L. Roark on Nov. 6, 1942. He died Jan. 14, 1995.
She was a 1943 graduate of The Ohio State University, a member of the Greenfield First Presbyterian Church, former choir member and member of the Esther Circle, Order of the Eastern Start, History Club, and the Retired Teachers Association. She was a retired school teacher from the Greenfield schools.
She is survived by her children, Sally Lay, of Trenton; Michael (Rita) Roark, of Grove City, Dr. Dennis (Margaret) Roark, of Springfield; and Alan Roark, of Elyria; 10 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Jeremy Mays, and by a brother and a half-brother, and two sisters.
Services will be held Saturday, Jan. 22, 2011 at the Anderson-Strueve Funeral Home in Greenfield, with Pastor Chuck Testas officiating. Burial will be in the Greenfield Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon until the time of services Saturday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Greenfield First Presbyterian Church.
