Margaret “Peg” Ruth Simpson, of Leesburg, died Monday, Nov. 7, 2011 at the Crestwood Nursing Center in Hillsboro.
She was born in Cincinnati, the daughter of the late Willard and Ruth Todhunter Stowe.
She was a member of the Leesburg Friends Church; former member of Buckeye Hills Country Club; and had managed the Deerbrook Properties in Hillsboro.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Phyllis Wood of Leesburg; grandchildren Laura (Joe) Jacky of Hillsboro, Sarah (Andre) Hums of Lebanon and Rebecca Wood of Park City, Utah; and great-grandchildren Jonathan Jacky, Emma Jacky, Daniel Jacky, Christopher Jacky, Elise Hums and Eric Hums.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her son, Richard H. Wood; and brother, Sherman Insko.
Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family, and burial will follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The public is invited to a visitation on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro.
