Margaret L. Reno, 85, of Washington Court House, died Wednesday, April 25, 2012.
She was born on March 17, 1927 in Fayette County, the daughter of the late Harlan E. and Leota Penrod Jinks.
Margaret was a 1945 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School, Greenfield. She attended Ohio University, where she received a bachelor's degree in education, and the University of Cincinnati, where she earned a master's degree in education. She began her teaching career at Greenfield Elementary in 1966 and retired in 1985 from Webster Elementary in Hillsboro.
She was united in marriage to the late Ervin L. Reno, Sr. on Aug. 23, 1947, and he preceded her in death on Nov. 11, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, Ervin Reno, Jr. of Hillsboro and David Reno of South Carolina; two daughters, Judy Reno of Hillsboro and Linda (Billy) Penwell and their son Tony Penwell, all of Washington Court House; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Betty Chrisman of Washington Court House and Waneda Stewart of Florida.
She was preceded in death by five sisters and one brother.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at 1 p.m. in Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in Gilboa Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 6-8 p.m.
