Mabel Paxton Eselgroth, 91, of Greenfield, passed away Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012 at her home.
She was born on July 10, 1921 in Hocking County, the daughter of Charles and Maud (Ward) Paxton.
She was a devoted wife and mother, charter member of Buckskin Valley Farm Bureau, member of Buckskin Community Church (formerly South Salem Presbyterian Church) and a 1939 graduate of Laurelville High School.
She is survived by three sons, Eldon (Julia) Eselgroth of Greenfield, John (Urai) Eselgroth of Chandler, Ariz. and Charles (Jamie) Eselgroth of Greenfield; two daughters, Anna Weaver of Castro Valley, Calif. and Betty (Gary) Johnson of Greenfield; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a special thanks to Sue Edwards for her many years of service, devotion and kindness.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard E. Eselgroth on June 7, 2009; two daughters, Nancy Wisecup and Doris Berry; one grandson, Benjamin Eselgroth; one sister, Dorothy Johnson and both parents.
Funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Joe B. Stewart officiating. Burial will follow in the South Salem Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. Wednesday until time of service.
