Lorraine Michelle (Howell) Pedersen, 40, of Wilmington, died Thursday, Jan. 26, 2012 at Clinton Memorial Hospital in Wilmington.
She was born July 30, 1971 in Xenia, the daughter of Michael Ray and Nancy Lea Rhoads Howell.
She was a 1989 graduate of Wilmington High School, where she was inducted in the Who’s Who of American High School Students. She received her bachelor’s degree from Wilmington College, then achieved her master’s degree in education from Antioch College. She student taught in the Clinton Massie School District, and provided private tutoring services, and taught pre-school.
She was a devoted wife, mother, and daughter.
She is survived by her husband, Eric Pedersen, to whom she was married July 14, 2000 at the Snow Hill Country Club; daughter, Danielle E. Christian; mother and step-father, Nancy and Kermit Holliday of Hillsboro; sister, Allison Meyer of Sabina; and grandmother, Juanita Rhoads of Hillsboro.
She was preceded in death by her father, Michael Ray Howell; her infant son, Jack Warren Pedersen; and grandfather, Daniel Rhoads.
Services will be held 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Father Mike Paraniuk will officiate. Burial will follow in the Maple Grove Cemetery in Port William. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
