Lloyd Nolan “Snake” Rowe, 70, of Hillsboro, died Monday evening, June 18, 2012 at Highland District Hospital.
He was born Oct. 17, 1941, in Lawshe, Ohio, the son of the late Milton and Hattie (Charles) Rowe.
He enjoyed fishing, mushroom hunting, coon hunting and drives in the country.
He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Myrtle (Cumberland) Rowe; two daughters, Rebecca (Jeff) Caplinger and Debora (Shane) Mullenix, both of West Union; a step son, Timothy Tolle of Peebles; a foster son, Tyler Rowe of Hillsboro; a foster daughter, Khadijah Rowe of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Shawnda West of Winchester, Kristian Allen of Winchester, Desirae Shoemaker of Cincinnati and Wade Shoemaker of Peebles; seven great-grandchildren, Arayah West, Jayce West, Brayden Allen, Sawyer Allen, Willow Foster and Macy and Casey Mullenix; six siblings, Kathryn Tong of Peebles, Frank (Brenda) Rowe of West Union, Judy (Charles) Scott of Yellow Springs, Evelyn Johnson of Yellow Springs, Rosanna Butt of West Union and Tammy Franklin of Peebles; a brother-in-law, Jimmy (Eleanor) Cumberland of Hillsboro and other sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; a special friend, Virginia Thomas of Hillsboro; a special niece, Rhianna Cumberland; and special nephews Lavar Cumberland, Richard Cumberland, Armand Cumberland, Deshawn Cumberland, Darrius Cumberland and Jayce Cumberland.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Linda (Tolle) Rowe in 1971.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2012 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
