Linda Joy Powell, 65, of Hillsboro, died Friday, Oct. 19, 2012 at Highland District Hospital.

She was born in Cincinnati on Jan. 18, 1947, the daughter of the Late Charles Longworth and Rosa (Murray) Metz of Texas.

Besides her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Paul Longworth.

Besides her mother, she is survived by her husband, Ermon (Monk) Powell of Hillsboro; two sons, Kirk (Paula) Smith of Morrow and Jeff (Cindy) Powell of West Chester; two daughters, Lisa Malas of Alexandria, Ky., and Joy Lobaugh of Mason; three brothers, Phillip Longworth of Fairfield, Pete Longworth of Texas and Michael Longworth of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; three sisters, Rhonda Napier of Mason, Myra Palazio of Kentucky and Portia Koekle of West Chester; nine grandchildren, Andrew, Mathew, Nicholas, Daniel, Christopher, Hazel, Miranda, Jake and Kelly; and two great-grandchildren, Aubrey Marie and Jace Taylor.

Services will be 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro with the Rev. Clarence Smith officiating.

Friends may call on Monday from 6-7 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
