Lester Leroy Younker
Lester Leroy Younker, 67, of Blanchester, passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2012 at his son’s home in Lynchburg.
He was born Nov. 5, 1944, in Corwin, the son of the late Lester Eugene and Leona (Reviel)
Younker.
He was a former member of the Mission Church, was a former Midland volunteer firefighter and a former member of the Lynchburg Lions Club. He had retired in 1982 from the Blanchester Foundry.
On Oct. 25, 2003, in Midland, he married his wife, Marjorie Ann (Elkins) Younker; and she
survives. He is also survived by five children, David Leroy Younker and his wife, Tricia, of Fairfield, Lester “Les” Younker and his wife, Shannon, of Lynchburg, Michael “Mike” Younker of Lynchburg, Teresa Coil of Wilmington and Roger Rutherford and his wife, Cassie, of Chillicothe; 17 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; a sister, Geraldine “Gerrie” Frump
of Wilmington; two brothers, Delbert Younker of Greenbush and William “Bill” (Carla) Younker of Sugar Tree Ridge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlotte Gale
(Mountjoy) Younker, on Feb. 18, 2003; a grandchild, Lester Kelly Younker; a great grandchild, Haven Savannah Younker; two brothers, James Larry and Harold Younker; and three sisters, Dorothy Younker, Madonna Lee and Wanda Knisley.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 22 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Terry Rose will officiate. Burial will follow in the Westboro Cemetery. Visitation will be
11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.
