Leroy D. Wilkin

Leroy D. Wilkin, 79, of Hillsboro died Saturday, July 7, 2012 at his home.
He was born Dec. 28, 1932 in Fairview, the son of the late Leonard Leroy and Blanche Laymon Wilkin.
Mr. Wilkin had worked in the building trades for Hendee Brothers for 28 years and later worked for over 10 years for Great Oaks Vocational School.
He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Doris Caplinger Wilkin, whom he married on June 28, 1952 at the Pricetown Church of Christ; two daughters, Rona (Gary) Lawson of Hillsboro and Dawn Wilkin of Beaumont, Texas; one son, Todd (Sonja) Wilkin of Hillsboro; and two grandchildren, Katie and Ryan Wilkin; and one sister, Beulah Snoddy, of Hillsboro.
Services celebrating Leroy’s life will be held 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Friends may call on Thursday from 5 p.m. until time of services at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
