Laura Jo Howard, 68, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Sept. 3, 2011 at Heartland of Hillsboro.
She was born Dec. 25, 1942 in Ashland, Ky., the daughter of the late Haskell and Edith (Versey) Reffitt.
She was a Lifetime member of the Amvets Post 61 Ladies Auxiliary, Hillsboro.
Surviving are three sons, Raymond (Kim) Howard of Wilmington, Sherman (Sheila) Howard of Kettering, and Danny (Christina) Howard of Hillsboro; a daughter, Bobbi Jean Howard of Hillsboro; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren, and significant other, Charles Puchta, of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alex Howard, and two sisters, Elizabeth Sweat and Nancy Bush.
Services will be held at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Sept. 8 at 2 p.m., with Pastor Kraig Walker officiating. Interment will follow in the Resthaven Memory Gardens in Hillsboro.
Friends will be received at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, Hillsboro, on Thursday, Sept. 8 from 1-2 p.m.
