Krista A. Jenkins, 64, of Hillsboro, died Thursday, Oct. 20 at her home.  

She was born May 27, 1947 in Piqua, the daughter of the late Leslie J. and Clarice M. Willis.  

She is also preceded by one son, Ronald M. Jenkins, Jr.

She was a member of the Hillsboro First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of 44 years, Ron Jenkins; son, Richard W. and his wife, Connie Jenkins; their son, Carson, and daughter, Kera, all of Middletown; and grandchildren, Bethany A Jenkins and Timothy N. Jenkins of Florida.

She was a teaching associate in Urbana and Water Safety Instructor at Urbana City Pool. Since moving to Hillsboro in 1996, she had worked for Hobart Corporation.

She was press correspondent, vice president and president of the Emblem Club #277; treasurer and member of the J. Mother’s Club; member of the Loved One’s Group; Al-Anon Family Groups; Domestic Violence Advocate; and had worked for Samaritan Outreach Services from 2005-11.  

Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. The Turner & Son Funeral Home assisted the family.
