Kevin Ray Waddell, 53, of Hillsboro, died Friday, April 6, 2012.

He was born April 6, 1959 in Greenfield, the son of the late Ronald Waddell and Margaret (Forte) Waddell of Leesburg.

Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Sandy (Purdom) Waddell; one daughter and son-in-law, Shiana and Matt Fugette, Sr. of Hillsboro; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kevin Franklin and Sarah Waddell of Portland, Ore., Derek and Kristin Wait of Hillsboro; three grandchildren, Atticus Waddell, Rhaya Waddell and Matthew Fugette, Jr.; one sister, Gina Waddell of Hillsboro; mother-in-law, Mildred Purdom of Hillsboro; uncle, Mike Waddell of Franklin, Tenn.; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Besides his father, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Freddie Waddell, Sr., and Ricky Joe Forte; grandmothers, Ida Stillwell and Opal Bumgarner; and a special nephew, Freddie Waddell, Jr.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 10 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro.

The Rev. Wiley Perkins will officiate, with burial to follow in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hillsboro. Friends may call Tuesday from noon-2 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
