Kenneth C. Mullenix
Kenneth C. Mullenix, 67, of Hillsboro, died Tuesday, June 26, 2012.
He was born March 19, 1945 in Dayton, the son of the late Vernon C. and Golda M. (Frost) Mullenix. Beside his parents, he was preceded in death by one son Kenneth Nathaniel Mullenix; one brother, Gary Mullenix.
He was a member of the Hillsboro First United Methodist Church, worked 36 years at the Bendix Corporation, and retired from Addison McKee in Wilmington.
On Sept. 12, 1964, he was united in marriage to Carole (Cashman) Mullenix, who survives. He is also survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Jeanine Mullenix of Hillsboro, Benjamin and Pamela Mullenix of Hillsboro; five grandchildren, Kendi Jordan, Quade Mullenix, Creed Mullenix, Bradley Mullenix, Mallory Mullenix; one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Linda Mullenix of Hillsboro; one sister and brother-in-law, Patty and Omer Price, Jr. of Hillsboro; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, June 29 at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Dr. Derek Russell will officiate with burial to follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home.
