Kathie Lynn Smith, 69, of Greenfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2012 at her home.

She was born on March 21, 1943 in Washington C.H., the daughter of, William and Evelyn (Campbell) Rooks.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by her husband, Howard Smith; three daughters, Lori Gray of Frankfort, Melanie Yankie of Newport, Calif., and Kelley (Randy) Alexander of Greenfield; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one brother; one niece; one nephew; her mother, Evelyn Rooks of Washington C.H.; and special friends, Herb and Susie Smith of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Graveside service will be held 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 21 in the Greenfield Cemetery with Pastor Mark Current officiating.

There will be no visitation observed.

The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield is serving the family.
