Katherine Satterfield, 80, of the Marshall community, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012 at her home.

She was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Estes Eugene Sexton and Mary Maude Horner Sexton.

Surviving are her husband, Robert M. Satterfield, of Marshall, whom she married Oct. 3, 1949; daughter and son-in-law, Connie (Dale) Ison of Sinking Spring; son and daughter-in-law, David and Twila Satterfield, of Marshall; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, Katherine was preceded in death by her brother, Paul Sexton.

Services will be held at the Marshall United Methodist Church, Wednesday, June 20 at 1 p.m., with Pastor Deborah Ketchem officiating. Interment will follow in the Marshall Cemetery.

Friends will be received at the church Wednesday, June 20 from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.

Contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Heartland Hospice.
