John E. Wesley, 73, of Peebles, passed away Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
He was born on May 10, 1939, the son of the late Robert and Jennie (Pyles) Wesley.
John was a member of Beech Fork Church. He was an operator engineer of Union Local #18 Cincinnati District 5, a member of the N.R.A. and a trustee at Beech Fork Church.
He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Johnson) Wesley of Peebles, whom he married on Aug. 15, 1959; two sons and daughters-in-law, Ted and Carla Wesley and Johnny and Andrea Wesley, all of Peebles; three daughters, Kathy Meyer of Louisville, Ky., Mary and Mike Brown of Otway and Connie Smith of Peebles; three brothers, Sonny of Georgetown, Gene of Peebles and Myron Wesley of Peebles; four sisters, Miriam Mosbacker of Williamsburg, Annette Jolly of Hillsboro, Rita Maxson of South Carolina and Luzene Peterson of Mt. Orab; 10 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Beech Fork Church with Mark Baer, Debbie Baer, Tom Brown and Doug Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
