Joanne Wallace
Joanne Wallace, 82, of Frankfort, died Saturday, July 7, 2012 in the Pickering House, Lancaster.
She was born on Oct. 10, 1929 in Greenfield, the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Forsythe Greenlee.
On Sept. 24, 1947, she married Kenneth R. Wallace, who preceded her in death on March 13, 2001.
She is survived by three daughters, Martha (Ronald) Vann of Charleston, S.C., Beverly (John) Harden of Frankfort, and Faye (Keith) Karshner of Ashville; five grandchildren, Brad (Kristina) Whitten, Mark (Deirdre) Barnhart, Rebecca McCray (Ian Toltz), Tim Karshner, and Angela Davis; five great-grandchildren, Savannah Barnhart, Caleb Karshner, Hailee, Madison and Taylor Davis; one brother, Darrell (Jaretta) Greenlee of Chillicothe; one sister-in-law, Ann Greenlee of Frankfort; a brother-in-law, Lowell (Peggy) Wallace of Inverness, Fla.; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbors and friends.
She was preceded in death by a grandson, Tony Lee Whitten; and a brother, Dale Greenlee.
She was a 1947 graduate of Frankfort High School. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. She loved to research family genealogy, sewing, gardening and cooking.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Ebright Funeral Home in Frankfort with Pastor Neil Foster officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, Frankfort.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
