Joan M. Adkins, 79, of Leesburg, passed away Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012 at Edgewood Manor of Greenfield.
She was born Nov. 19, 1932 in Springfield, the daughter of Frank and Esther (Klepper) Millirons.
She was a former employee of U.S. Shoe Corporation and Greenfield Research.
She is survived by two sons, David (Loraine) Everhart of Greenfield and Daniel Everhart of Leesburg; two daughters, Cheryl (Steve) Summers of Washington C.H. and Kathy (Rick) Cross of Greenfield; three stepchildren, Terri and Patty Adkins and Penny Bentley; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Adkins; one great-grandchild; and both parents.
There will be no funeral service observed. The visitation will be from noon until 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 6, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield.
