Jo Meranda, 79 years of Seaman, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011 at Good Samaritan Hospital.
She was born in Adams County, Ohio on January 15, 1932 the daughter of the late Alpha and Bertha Ann (Newman) Evans.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Dale Lee Meranda, who passed away on December 29, 2008.
Jo attended Seaman Presbyterian Church; she was also a member of Seaman Lions Club and was a Croswell Tours Escort.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law; Doug and Phyllis Van Winkle of El Dorado Hills, California, one daughter and son-in-law; Saundra and Nick Dudukovich of Cincinnati, one brother and sister-in-law; Homer and Bessie Evans of West Union, one daughter-in-law; Mary Jo Meranda of Cincinnati, three brothers-in-law; Jerry and Judy of Batavia, Donny and Julie of West Union, and Keith and Sue Meranda of Greenbush, Michigan, two sisters-in-law; Linda and Jim Young of Seaman and Peggy Meranda of Cincinnati, four grandchildren; Nicole Dudukovich of Columbus, Dan and Debbie Dudukovich of West Chester, Brad Van Winkle of Los Angeles, and Jennifer Meranda of Cincinnati, three great grandchildren; Kailyn, Nathan, and Alex Dudukovich, many nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman with Rev. George Roads and Rev. Dr. Susan Roads officiating. Burial will follow in Kirker Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday from 6:30 till 8:30 P.M. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home, Lewis-Sullivan Chapel in Seaman.
