Jerry L. Lowe

Jerry L. Lowe, 61, of Hillsboro, died early Saturday, May 26, 2012 at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth as a result of injuries sustained from an accident while horseback riding.
He was born July 28, 1950 in Hillsboro, the son of Ralph Lowe Jr. of Hillsboro and the late June (Lewis) Lowe.
He had owned and operated Lowe’s Construction for many years.
Besides horseback riding, he loved golf, riding his Harley and spending time with family and friends.
He was a past president and retired member of the Road Saints, was a member of the American Quarter Horse Association and the Hillsboro Eagles Aerie 1161.
On May 27, 1977, in Sugartree Ridge, he married his wife of 35 years, Rheta (Walker) Lowe, and she survives.
In addition to his father and wife, he is survived by five children, Krista (Spencer) Reed of Hillsboro, Scott (Nikki) Lowe of Hillsboro, Jerri Linn (fiancé Brian Peters) Lowe of Milford, Bryan (Pat) Stivers of Hillsboro and Brad (Dori Ann Allen) Stivers of New Vienna; 10 grandchildren, Neal, Alley, Katelyn, Blake, Connor, Hunter, Lindsey, Cory, Chelsea and Noah; a brother, Eddie (Angie) Lowe of Jamestown; two sisters, Connie (Dan) Sauer of Cookeville, Tenn. and Jacqueline (Ned) Gross of Miamisburg; his best friend, Poco; several nieces and nephews, as well as countless friends.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 31 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Leo Kuhn will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 30 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home.
