Jerry Dale Christophel, 69, of Lynchburg, was born on May 22, 1943 in Hamilton and died on Sept. 13, 2012 in Blanchester.
He was the beloved husband of Marcy A. (Hauke) Christophel; loving father of Mike (Shannon) Christophel of Hillsboro and Rosa Christophel and Daisy Christophel of Lynchburg: proud stepfather of Jessica Griffith of Hillsboro; caring grandfather of Jacob and Emily Christophel, Vanessa Smith, Rani and Brennan Griffith; dear brother of Joyce Crawford, Janet Barnes, Cleny “Jeannie” Barnes, Junie Hamm, Evelyn “Babe” Anderson, Nancy “Nue” Gibson, Ciciela Sue Hickey, Vicky Rielly and the late LeRoy “Jake” Christophel; cherished son of the late Jacob Carroll and Cleny Mae (Kirkendall) Christophel; and devoted nephew of Charles (Helen) Kirkendall. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, many dear friends and family dogs.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, Sept. 18, 5-8 p.m., at Tufts Schildmeyer Funeral Home, 120 W. Main St., Blanchester, where services will be on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at 11 a.m. Interment will take place in Troutwine Cemetery, Lynchburg.
