Jennie Juanita Smittle, 90, of Sinking Spring, died Sunday, March 4, 2012 at the Laurels of Hillsboro.
She was born Sept. 27, 1921 in Sinking Spring, the daughter of the late Denver and Amy (Priece) Wallace.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry E. Smittle, Sr. on July 14, 1983; one granddaughter, Christa Orlaska; and three brothers, Paul, Dale and Denver “Pete” Wallace.
She is survived by one son, Harry E. Smittle, Jr. and Sharon of Sinking Spring; one daughter, Joyce (Jim) McFarland of Grove City; four grandchildren, Scott Smittle and Teresa of Chillicothe, Debbie (Todd) Flowers of Greenfield, James Andrew (Mariane) McFarland of Grove City and Karen (Joseph) Passmore of Laurel, Md.; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Sinking Spring. No visitation will be observed. Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring is in charge of arrangements.
