Jean Knauff, 84, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at the Crestwood Nursing Center.
She was born in Pike County on Feb. 5, 1928, the daughter of the late George Branson and Dollie F. (Ingles) Puckett.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Maxie H. Knauff on March 8, 1998; five brothers, Donald, Carl, Beryl, Dale and Cecil Puckett; and four sisters, Dora Dunn, Velma Blakeman, Hazel Puckett and Dorothy Vance Rhoads.
Jean was a member of the Locust Grove Wesleyan Tabernacle Church.
She is survived by three sons and daughter-in-law, Fred and Janet Knauff, John Knauff and Mike Knauff, all of Hillsboro; two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Tom Caldwell and Christy and David Snider, all of Hillsboro; three brothers, Roy Puckett of Chillicothe, George “Pete” Puckett of Peebles and Harry “Jack” Puckett of Sinking Spring; 16 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, March 24, 2012 at the Locust Grove Wesleyan Tabernacle Church, state Route 41, Locust Grove. Pastor Richard Williams will officiate with burial in the Locust Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring.
