     James Robert Peabody, 47, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, July 31, 2010 at Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro.
     He was born March 10, 1963 in Greenfield, the son of Louie and Annabelle (Estle) Peabody.
     He was employed by Tecumseh Builders of Sardinia for the past 21 years and was a 1981 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He was a member of the Northside Church of Christ.
     He is survived by his wife, Tammy (Willer) Peabody, whom he married Aug. 4, 1984; three children, Joshua James (Erica) Peabody of Virginia Beach, Va., Nicole (Scott) Bratton of Hillsboro, and Caleb Peabody of Hillsboro; four step-grandchildren, Stephanie, Lori, Marybeth, and Emma; mother, Annabelle Peabody; one brother, Douglas (Brenda) Peabody of Bainbridge; three sisters-in-law, Carol (Jim) Fisher of Blanchester, Linda (Michael) Walker of Cincinnati, and Penny (Earl) Place of Columbus; one brother-in-law, Michael (Joni) Willer of Hillsboro; nieces and nephews, Ian, Felicity, J. Giles, Mark, David, Adam, Luke, Natalie, Jared, Cheryl, Lee, and Jenny; mother-in-law, Ruth Willer of Hillsboro; and two aunts, Lois Peabody of Bainbridge and Joann Peabody of Springfield.
     He was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Elizabeth Peabody, and his father, Louie N. Peabody.
     Cremation will take place, and there will be a celebration of life Thursday, Aug. 5 at 8 p.m. at the Northside Church of Christ, 25 Greenfield Pike, Hillsboro, with Bill Pierce and Bo Perrin officiating. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the church.
     The Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield is serving the family.
