James P. Beach, 84, of Greenfield, died Tuesday, April 6, 2010 at Greenfield Area Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 20, 1925 in Ashland, Ky., the son of the late Clarence and Isabelle (Jackson) Beach.
He retired from Irwin Augerbit in Wilmington. He was a former member of Sulphur Springs United Baptist Church of Greenfield.
He is survived by his son, Tim (Ellen) Beach, of Frankfort, Ohio; two daughters, Connie Willett of Greenfield and Barbara Allen of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 14 grandchildren, Jama, Tyler, Scott, Ryan, Jeff, Gina, Roger, Chris, Bobby, Pam, James, David, Paul, and Michael; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister, Ruth Tebbes of Middletown; a son-in-law, Carl Mick of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Evelyn (Nevin) Beach, who passed away May 22, 2004; two sons, Rick Beach and Roger Beach; a daughter, Joanna Mick; two sisters, Florida Beach and Mildred Hutchinson; and two sons-in-law, John Willett and Roger Allen.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, April 9, 2010 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home of Greenfield with Rev. Ken Burchett officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery. A visitation will be held 4-8 p.m. Thursday, April 8, 2010.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the donor's choice.
