James Noble Hamilton
James Noble Hamilton, 85, of Leesburg, died Tuesday, July 24, 2012 at the Chillicothe VA Medical Center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1927 in West Union, the son of the late Harley Clayton and Della Surber Hamilton.
He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II and the Korean War. He had been a member of the Leesburg American Legion.
He is survived by his siblings, Norma Jane (Charles Perrin) Morrow of Hillsboro, Elizabeth June Whaley of Bradenton, Fla., Phyllis Joan Rings of Groveport, Ohio, Paul Dean (Cecilia) Hamilton of Cincinnati, Donna Mae Halwagen of Murrell's Inlet, N.C., Linda Lou (Mike) Wright of Indianapolis, Patricia Sue (Paul) Narcross of Greenfield and Terry Dean (Brenda) Hamilton of Greely, Colo.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his longtime friend and companion, Phyllis Henson; and siblings Betty Jean Bailey, Charles Albert Hamilton, Hubert Allen Hamilton and Donald Lee Hamilton.
Visitation and funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A graveside committal service will take place at a later date in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Leesburg.
