James Kenneth Cox, 63, of Greenfield, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2011 at home.
He was born in Greenfield on April 3, 1948, the son of James H. and Maxine J. (Moore) Cox.
He was a 1968 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School. He served in the U.S. Army with the military police. He was a retired truck driver for Sugar Creek Packing in Washington C.H.
Mr. Cox is survived by one daughter, Tiffany Holt of Gig Harbor, Wash.; Karen (McCoy) Cox of Greenfield; two grandchildren, Holley and Cody Holt; one great-grandson, Noah Jacob Van Gundy; one sister, Connie (Clint) Lanning of Greenfield; one brother, Roger (Jodie) Whaley of Springfield; one aunt, June Purdin of Greenfield; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one niece, Tracy (Davis) Green; and both parents.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and no services will be observed.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Paint Creek EMS, 640 N. Washington St., Greenfield, Ohio 45123; or American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206.
