James C. "Jim" Douglas, 78, of Hillsboro, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2010, at his residence.

 

He was born July 2, 1931 in Middletown, the son of the late Paris and Anna (Stahley) Douglas. 

 

James was a graduate of the Lebanon Police Academy. He served as a special investigator for the Montgomery County Clerk of Courts and retired in 1995. He was a member of the Waynesville F&AM Lodge #163 and Hillsboro F&AM Lodge #38 of Hillsboro.

 

He is survived by his wife, Sue; two sons, Eric Allen "Rick", of Mason and Russell Anthony (Jodie) of Morrow; two daughters, Ruth Annette (Mack) Mosher of Kettering, and Lucinda Kaye "Cindy" (Peter) Gurekovich of Mason; three sisters, Norma Jean (Jim) Glosser of Springboro, Dee Dee (Pat) Davis of West Carrolton, and Ann Marie (Ron) Pitsinger, of Goose Creek, S.C., and eleven grandchildren.

 

Services will be held at the Springboro First United Methodist Church on Wednesday, Jan. 6 at 11:30 a.m. with the Rev. Dan Bill officiating. Burial will follow in the Springboro Cemetery with graveside services provided by Montgomery County Sheriffs Office.

 

Friends may call at the Thompson Funeral Home in Hillsboro from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, with Masonic Services at 7 p.m. by Highland Lodge #38 and Wednesday at the Springboro First UMC from 10-11:30 a.m.
