Jack H. Warren, 78, of Leesburg, died Sunday, Sept. 16, 2012 at Heartland of Hillsboro Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hillsboro.
He was born Dec. 20, 1933 in Gainesboro, Tenn., the son of the late George R. and Nola Parish Warren.
He had attended the Samantha Free Will Baptist Church. Jack was the founder, owner and operator of Warren Furniture, along with his wife Mary. He spent his life for his "true love" Mary. He loved playing cards and was a hardworking, ornery, fun-loving, one-of-a-kind guy.
He is survived by three children, Glen Randy (Brenda) Warren of Monroe, Valli (Gary) Strickland of Xenia and Wayne (Vicki) Warren of Kettering; grandchildren, Jack Manning of Dayton, Julie (Randy) Day of Garland, Maine, Neal Warren of Cincinnati, Steve (Michelle)Warren of Lewisburg, Kimberly (Guido) Orellano of Ecuador and Misty Putnam of Centerville; 12 great-grandchildren; and siblings Roger (Nancy) Warren of Bellefontaine, Peggy Strahan of Springfield, Carolyn Arnold of Bellefontaine and Jewell McClullan of Cookeville, Tenn.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Mary Tinch Warren on June 11, 2009; son Steve Warren; and brother Vanus Warren.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. The Rev. Wiley Perkins will officiate. Burial will follow in the Willowview Cemetery in Dayton. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 1 p.m. at the funeral home in Hillsboro.
