Jack Austin
Jack Austin, 66, of Peebles, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Hospice of Hope Ohio Valley Inpatient Center in Seaman.
He was born at Peebles on Aug. 12, 1945, the son of the late Arlyn and Pearl (Johnson) Austin.
He attended the Burns Chapel Church and was a member of the NRA and IBEW Local #575, Portsmouth.
He is survived by his wife Teresa (Armstrong) Austin of Peebles; four daughters and sons-in-law, Angie and Bob Brewster of Latham, Jackie and Steve Brown of Otway, Beth and Junior Hickey of Seaman and Amy and Josh Young of West Union; six grandchildren, Kristen, Ethan, Ashton, Lynsie, Brandon and Erin; two great-grandchildren, Jacelyn and Kasen; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Beverly Austin of Peebles; and sister and brother-in-law, Garnet and Dick Hoop of Peebles.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Annabelle (Adams) Austin; and brothers, Dale and Bobby Dean.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at the Beech Fork Church with Bill Swango, Phil Fulton and Dave Hopkins co-officiating. Burial will follow in the Cedar Fork Cemetery.
Friends may call on Tuesday evening from 4-8 p.m. at the Wallace-Thompson Funeral Home in Peebles.
