Iris Marie Keplinger, 69, of Greenfield, died Sunday, June 17, 2012 at Hearth & Care Rehabilitation and Nursing in Greenfield.

She was born Feb. 7, 1943 in Highland County, the daughter of Virgil and Iris (Storts) Keplinger.

She retired from Greenfield Exempted Village School District where she served as a schoolteacher for many years.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Greenfield, the Ohio State Teacher’s Association, and the Highland County Senior Citizen’s Center. She was a 1961 graduate of the Edward Lee McClain High School.

She is survived by her friend and caregiver, Linda Newland and family of Greenfield.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Tonita Burgess; two brothers, Wayne Keplinger, Virgil Dean Keplinger; and both parents.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield, with Rev. Terry Washburn officiating and burial to follow in the Greenfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be noon until the time of service on Wednesday.

Memorials may be made to the Highland County Senior Citizen’s Center, Ceramic Department, 185 Muntz Street, Hillsboro, Ohio 45133.
