Irene Napolz, 93, of Greenfield, died Tuesday,  Jan. 31, 2012, at Hearth & Care, Greenfield.

She was born April 6, 1918 in Cleveland.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Napolz.

She is survived by her son, John (Cynthia) Napolz of Parma Heights; one daughter, Joyce Napolz of Greenfield; three grandchildren, Lisa Napolz, James (Teshia) Polley and Lucas Polley; one great-grandchild, Braylon Polley.

She was preceded in death by one grandson, Kevin Napolz; two sisters, Olga Balogh and Betty Banko and one brother, Micklas Kocsis.

She was a member of St. Benignus Catholic Church, Greenfield and had been a longtime member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Parma. She was a longtime sports fan and she enjoyed the Cleveland Cavaliers and loved playing pinochle. Her grandchildren were very special and she loved spending time with them.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Friday, Feb. 3 at 11 a.m. in St. Benignus Catholic Church with Father Mike Paraniuk as celebrant.

Friends may call at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home in Greenfield on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. Burial will follow on Saturday in Holy Cross Cemetery, Cleveland.
