Hester Corrine Willoughby Pennington, 78, of Hillsboro died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012 at her home.

She was born April 29, 1934 in Fleming County, Ky., the daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Alma Conley Newman.

She is survived by her husband, Benjamin F. Pennington; two children, David (Teresa Willoughby and Dwight (Carol) Willoughby of Hillsboro; four grandchildren, Chad Willoughby, Amanda Willoughby and Dusty Willoughby of Hillsboro, and Tony Barber of Wilmington; nine great-grandchildren; three brothers, Lee Roy (Rose Mary) Newman of Centerville, Robert (Margaret) Newman of Willow Springs, Mo., and Estill (Ruth Ann) Newman of Dayton; two sisters, Mary (Forrest) Thompson of New Market and Shirley (Richard) Rhoads of Greenfield.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Carl D. Willoughby on Aug. 27, 1992; one grandson, Johnathon Willoughby; four brothers, Joe Newman, Paul (Bud) Newman, Bill Newman, and Russell (Dick) Newman; and five sisters, Janice Newman, Beatrice Bryant, Pearlie Newsome, Dora Warnock and Lilly Shrout.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26 at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Pastor Randall Goble will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.

Friends may call on Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
