Harriett G. Duckwall, 84, of Milford, died Tuesday, August 23, 2011 at her home.
She was born July 3, 1927 in Hillsboro, the daughter of the late Starling Moyer and Ethel Carr Ambrose.
Mrs. Duckwall had been the office manager for Hillsboro Transportation Company for many years and had worked as a volunteer at the Highland District Hospital in Hillsboro and also at the Bethesda North Hospital in Montgomery.
She was a member of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and more recently attended the Trinity United Methodist Church in Milford.
She is survived by two children, Eric (Marilyn) Mathews of Hillsboro and Janice (Joseph Clark) Carrozzella of Cincinnati; one sister, Jean Head of Hillsboro; and one sister-in-law, Mary Ambrose of Hillsboro.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Heber Duckwall; and one brother, Dr. Donald Ambrose.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Friday at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. John Porter of the Hillsboro Church of Christ and the Rev. Laura Saunders of the Trinity United Methodist Church in Milford will officiate. Burial will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Friends may call on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro.
