Harold L. "Bus" Harmount, Jr., 87, of Greenfield, died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011 at the Hearth & Care Nursing Home, Greenfield.  

He was born Oct. 23, 1923 in Chillicothe, the son of the late Harold L., Sr. and Mildred Anderson Harmount.

On April 11, 1958, he married Ruth "Tutti" Hill, who survives.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by one niece, Dianne (Danny) Long of Kettering; one nephew, Jay (Jamie) Harmount of Greenfield; three great nieces, Quincey Gray, Jenna Beck and Brittany Long; and one great-great niece, Sylvia Gray.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Jay R. Harmount

He was a graduate of McClain High School and was a member of the 1938 undefeated football team. He was a farmer for many years and was a lifetime member of the Farm Bureau. He was a member of the Pisgah-Mt. Pleasant Federated Church, was a 50-year member of the Greenfield Lodge of Free and Accepted Masons and was a Royal Arch Mason.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Walter Vonderohe officiating. Burial will follow in Brown's Chapel Cemetery, Clarksburg.

Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. to the time of the service.
