Harold Dean Davis, 83, of Wilmington, left to be with our Lord and Savior peacefully on Oct. 29, 2012.
He was born July 10, 1929 in Highland County, the son of the late Floyd and Lucy Snider Davis
Waiting to meet him at the gates of heaven is his wife, Martha "Jo" Davis, who passed away in 2005.
Harold was the owner of The Oak Barber Shop in Wilmington and a real-estate agent. He was a veteran of the United Sates Air Force, serving during the Korean War, and an active member of both the Wilmington American Legion Post #49 and Wilmington Elks Lodge #797. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge #52 in Wilmington and Scottish Rite Valley of Cincinnati.
He is survived by two sons, Randy (Cyndi) Davis of Chillicothe and Ron (Kelly) Davis of Athens; stepsons, Mike Arehart, Scott (Jackie) Arehart and Kevin Arehart; grandchildren, Austin Davis, Ben (Ashley) Davis, Janice (Andy) Irvin and Maddie Davis; step- grandchildren, Jeremy, Heather, Sommer, Ashley, Midori and Neil; great-grandchildren, Jack Davis and Bonnie Irvin; a sister, Helen (Paul) Satterfield of Greenfield; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents and wife, he is preceded in death by his brother, Tom; brother-in-law Donald Sandy Priest; and niece Karen Fulkerson.
Funeral services, beginning with Masonic services and Scottish Rite Ring services, will be held 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 2, 2012 at Turner & Son Funeral Home, Hillsboro. Burial with military honors accorded by the American Legion Post #49 Memorial Squad will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday from noon until the time of service at 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
