Gregory Allen Grooms, 42, of Peebles, Ohio died Saturday, Jan. 14, 2012 at the Cabell Hospital in Huntington, W.Va.
He was born in Chillicothe on Nov. 20, 1969, the son of the late Paul Grooms and Delores A. (Tolle) Grooms of Peebles.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his companion, Rebecca Brown; step-son, Steven Brown at home; step-daughter, Nicole Brown of Frankfort; three grandchildren, McKenzie Bowman, Anthony Bowman and Levi Brown; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and a host of friends.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19 at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home in Sinking Spring with Roy Carver and Terry Lawson officiating. Burial will follow in the Whiteoak Cemetery in Pike County.
Friends may call on Thursday from noon-2 p.m. at the Wylie-Thompson Funeral Home.
