Goldie Lea Cornetet, 92, of the Buford community, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012 at the Brown County General Hospital in Georgetown.
She was born April 27, 1919 in Taylorsville, the daughter of the late Warner David Fender and Lou Emma Morris Fender.
She was a member of Buford Church of Christ.
Surviving are three daughters, Frieda (Don) Wardlow of Mt. Vernon, Gail (Lowell) Graves, of Sardinia, and Christy (Russ) Burton of Wilmington; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Goldie was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert "Shorty" Cornetet; a brother, David Fender; and three sisters, Edna Bloom, Velma Guthrie and Grace Delana Cornetet.
Services will be held at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown, Saturday, March 17 at 1 p.m. with Andrew Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in the Buford Cemetery.
Friends will be received Friday, 6-8 p.m. at Edgington Funeral Home, Mowrystown.
