Gladys Irene Straight, 86, of Martinsville, died Friday morning, Dec. 2, 2011 at the Laurels of Blanchester.

She was born Dec. 26, 1924 in Cannel City, Ky., the daughter of the late Garsie Lee and Luna Ann Williams Williams.

She is survived by her husband, Ollie Straight, Jr., whom she had married on Jan. 10, 1946 in Paris, Ky.; two sons, Donald Ray (Gwen) Straight of Blanchester and Norman (Pam) Straight of Houston, Texas; seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and one brother, Daniel Joseph (Donna) Williams of Maryland.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one grandson, Donald Brian Straight; one sister, Edna Snyder; and three brothers Arnold, Charles and Lawrence Williams.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Rev. Robert Miller will officiate. Burial will follow in the Martinsville IOOF Cemetery. Friends may call on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg.
