Geneva Rebecca Pierson, 99, passed away peacefully at the Laurels of Hillsboro. Angels came to take another angel home Thursday evening, Oct. 4, 2012.

She was born Nov. 10, 1912, in Dodsonville, the daughter of the late James and Margaret Scott Shaffer.

She was a member of the Allensburg Church of Christ.

She is survived by three children, Jim (Barb) Pierson of Lynchburg, Peggy Morris of New Carlisle and Donny (Geraldine) Pierson of Lynchburg; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and a sister, Mary E. Kelly of Lynchburg.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Pierson, on August 1, 1954; a brother, Lawrence Shaffer; and a son-in-law, Charles W. Morris.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2012 at the Davis-Turner Funeral Home in Lynchburg. Bob Stevens will officiate. Burial will follow in the Lynchburg Masonic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Soul Seekers Sunday School Class, c/o the Allensburg Church of Christ, 7105 Abernathy Road, Lynchburg, Ohio 45142.
