Geneva Gertrude Wagner
Geneva Gertrude Wagner, 102, of Hillsboro, passed away Monday, Oct. 28, 2024 at The Laurels of Hillsboro in Hillsboro.
She was born Sept. 24, 1922 in Highland County, the daughter of the late Harry Irvin and Jeannie Delora (Godman) Bloom.
Geneva had been a business owner in Hillsboro and was a member of Hillsboro Church of Christ and the Alzheimer's Support Group.
Surviving are her daughters, Judy Gove of Grants Pass, Ore., Jeanette Washburn of Hillsboro and Jan (Carl Lee) Barney of Batavia; son, Richard Washburn of Cheyenne, Wyo.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandsons; many stepchildren, step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; special extended family members, Kay and Miles; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husbands, Paul Richard Washburn, Tom Carpenter and Richard Wagner; brother, Wendall Bloom; sister, Velma Walker Behm; and grandson, Kevin Barney.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 1, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Rhoads-Edgington Funeral Home, 138 East Main Street, Hillsboro. Interment will follow in the Hillsboro Cemetery.
Friends will be received Friday, Nov. 1 from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services at the funeral home.
