Gary Lee Brown, 65, of Greenfield, passed away Friday, April 20, 2012 at Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus.
He was born June 28, 1946 in Portsmouth, the son of Kelly and Texa (Lambert) Brown.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a truck driver.
He is survived by five daughters, Jennifer Lynn Brown, Emily Jean Brown, Michele Lee (Chester) Shepherd of Wilmington, Kim Lee Brown of Chillicothe and Kellymae (Robert Binder) Brown of Chillicothe; eight grandchildren; four sisters, Marilyn Sue Newland of Greenfield, Betty (Jones) Allen of Greenfield, Sunday (Steve) Munyon of Centerfield and Tammy Sue Zimmerman of Washington C.H.; two brothers, Billy (Ann) Brown of Chillicothe and Philip Brown of Columbus; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two brothers in infancy and both parents.
Funeral services will be held 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 25 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield followed by cremation and then burial in the Greenfield Cemetery at the convenience of the family, with military rites provided by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Visitation will be from 4-6 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Veteran’s Appreciation Service to begin at 6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with expenses, in care of the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson Street, Greenfield, Ohio 45123.
