Freda E. Edwards, 81, of South Salem, died Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at her home.
She was born Sept. 7, 1930, the daughter of Sampson and Grace (Snider) Calhoun.
She was a homemaker.
She is survived by one son, Richard L. Edwards of South Salem; three granddaughters, Stacie Meehan of state of Washington, Amy Downing of Chillicothe, and Andi Aleshire of Delaware; one grandson, Richard D. Edwards of South Salem; three great-grandchildren, Colby and Alyssa Meehan both of the state of Washington and Jesse Downing of Chillicothe; one brother, Tom Calhoun of Greenfield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard H. Edwards, on March 6, 1995; one daughter, Penny L. Aleshire; one sister, Mary Lou Calhoun; and both parents.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with Pastor Wayne Combs officiating. Burial will follow in the Washington Cemetery in Washington C.H.
Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27.
