Florence "Flossie" H. Erskine, 82, of Greenfield, died Saturday, Feb. 4, 2012 at Hearth and Care Rehabilitation and Nursing of Greenfield.
She was born June 18, 1929 in Rainsboro, the daughter of Earl R. and Sarah (Beavers) Herman.
She was a member of the Fruitdale United Methodist Church and a member of the Women's Christain Society. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Wendell G. Erskine, whom she married Nov. 19, 1950; two sons, Michael Gene Erskine of Greenfield, and Rex Allen (Janet) Erskine of Bainbridge; three grandchildren, Tondra Ogier, Ty and Rachel Erskine; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Anna Jane Karnes of Greenfield, Jeannie (Ernest) Evans of Bainbridge, and Clara Mae Elliott of Bainbridge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Ronald Lee Erskine, Timothy Homer Erskine, three sisters, Sarah Ruth Finch, Mary Fordyce, Peg Hale, three brothers, James "Doc" Herman, Earl Oakley Herman, Russell B. Herman, one grandson, Westley Erskine, and both parents.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at the Murray-Fettro Funeral Home in Greenfield with the Rev. Charles Shonkwiler officiating.
Burial will follow in the Bainbridge Cemetery.
Visitation will be 11 a.m. Tuesday until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the donor's charity of choice.
