Evelyn M. Jackson, 88, of Circleville, formerly of Greenfield, died at 2:45 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2011 in St. Catherine's Care Center, Washington C.H.

She was born Jan. 11, 1923 in Ross County, the daughter of the late Roy and Cornelius Leaverton Seitz.  

Evelyn was a retired clerk from Uhl's IGA, where she worked for 16 years. She was a member of the Greenfield Church of Christ.

She married Oscar Milton Jackson on May 11, 1940, and he preceded her in death on May 4, 1959.

Evelyn is survived by three daughters, Helen L. (Dean) Palmer of Greenfield, Ann E. (David) Cockerill of Washington C.H. and Mary L. Jackson of Columbus; seven grandchildren; Dee Anna Palmer, Grant Allen Palmer, Donita Dawn Rowland, Chuck Cockerill, Craig Cockerill, Teresa Baird and Samantha Jaglowski; and 12 great-grandchildren.  

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 28, 2011 at the Anderson-Ebright Funeral Home, Greenfield with Danny Dodds officiating. Burial will follow in Greenfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 10 a.m. until the time of the service.
